Courtney’s page is now live.

June 28th, 2002 by Les

Court’s got her own blog thing going, but hasn’t updated lately because no one could see it. So we’ve gone ahead and added it’s link to the page finally. We’ll be working on re-designing it to make it a little more personal for her in the very near future.

Feel free to participate.

May 16th, 2002 by Les

A couple of comments we’ve heard from folks recently gave us the impression that some of the people visiting our little spot on the web feel they shouldn’t post their comments in the message base or in our blogs. More than one person has said they felt like they were invading our privacy. The truth is, if we meant for it to be private it wouldn’t be posted out here on a very public internet where any random Joe who wanders by could see it. If you’ve got something you’d like to contribute feel free to sign up on our message board and post away or click that little comments button in our blog and jot down what’s on your mind. It would be great to hear more from the folks that visit the site and we’d like to encourage it.

Photo Gallery is now online…

As promised when we first started this website, we now have a photo gallery online. Just click the link over on the left to check it out.

Moved to a new home.

April 8th, 2002 by Les

We’ve once again made the move from one server to another. You may have seen the notice posted at the old site. Our apologies for any confusion this may cause, but now we have an official domain name which is a lot easier to remember than our old address. From now on you can reach this site by typing in http://jenkinsonline.net.

Also, both Les and Anne’s pages are accessable either through the links on this page or via: http://anne.jenkinsonline.net or http://stupidevilbastard.com/.

Les’s page has a new design.

March 17th, 2002 by Les

<style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: white">It’s been awhile since we’ve updated the main page here so I thought I’d mention that I finally managed to figure out how to use Cascading Style Sheets for layout and design of webpages. The results can be seen on my page which is now pretty much a weblog full-time. Not sure how well it’ll work in older browsers, but if you’re running Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher or Netscape 6 or higher, it should work OK.

Anne’s pages are now up and running!

February 3rd, 2002 by Les

Anne has been working hard on her webpages and she has the first several ready to go so we’ve put them up on the server and activated the link! Anne plans to add in a lot more content in the near future along with an online journal. A new forum category that Anne will be moderating is also available in the message forums. Check it out!

Switch to Earthlink is now complete.

January 25th, 2002 by Les

Today marks our first full day as Earthlink DSL subscribers having just canceled our Comcast High Speed Internet service. This means that all of our former email addresses will soon be disappearing into the electronic ether so if you haven’t updated your address books with our new email addresses yet, now is the time to do so. In all fairness, Courtney doesn’t have a new email address yet, but she will by the end of the weekend and we’ll be sending out a message to everyone in her address book letting you know what it is. If it turns out we miss any of you, well, don’t hesitate to drop me a note.

Message boards are up and running.

January 22nd, 2002 by Les

Work continues on the site as we now have full scripting in place. This means we’ll be adding in more functionality to the site over time starting with our brand spankin’ new message forums. We don’t know for sure that anyone will visit often enough to make use of the forums, but they’re there if folks start to feel the urge to get chatty. We’ve only got a couple of boards set up right now, but we’re open to suggestions on any additional topics anyone might like to have put up.

New site design and location.

January 9th, 2002 by Les

Well the holidays are over so Les decided to re-do the site with a new design that’s a bit simpler than what we had before. He’s still working on layouts for Courtney and Anne and hopes to have their pages up soon. You’ll also note that the page has a new address as we have moved to a new spot on the net that isn’t part of the Comcast broadband network as we will be switching to Earthlink for our high speed access soon. Les will probably go into more detail into what events at Comcast brought about our move on his page soon, but suffice it to say that Comcast managed to ruin three years of happy internet use in the course of a single weekend.

Outside of that, however, we’re all doing pretty well. We got through Christmas and New Years happy, healthy, and without getting into too much debt. The new year looks to hold much promise for all of three of us at this point and, with a little luck, it’ll be even better than last year.

Les’s page goes live!

December 1st, 2001 by Les

Another small update to let everyone know that Les’s personal webpage is now up and available for viewing. There’s a lot of work that remains to be done on it, but it’s functional at this time. You can view it by clicking on the button marked with his name on the menu to the left.

Hopefully everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving as we certainly did. The food was plentiful and it had been too long since we had last seen many members of our family. It gave us a welcome chance to catch up with everyone and to eat more food than we probably really needed to.

Happy Thanksgiving!

November 20th, 2001 by Les

Just a small update to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving. We’ll be travelling up to Les’s parents for our Turkey Day feast and giving them an early Christmas present in the process. With any luck Les will manage to avoid packing all the weight he’s recently lost back on during dinner tomorrow.

Also, we now have a functional guestbook in place which you can read and sign by clicking the button on the left of this page. We’re still working on the other pages and hope to have those links active soon. Assuming Les can still fit in front of his computer after tomorrow.

Home page is now up and running.

November 10th, 2001 by Les

Well, the holidays are upon us once again, always a big production in the Jenkins’ household and this year promises to be no different. Needless to say when Les finally broke down and started work on a family web page, he let the holiday spirit provide a healthy amount of design inspiration. The design on this isn’t overly ambitious, but it should be easy to get around in. Eventually the buttons to the left will take you to personal pages for the individual family members listed and we’d be happy to provide additional links to other relative’s home pages if you have one you want to share.

It is our hope that this web page will prove useful to our friends and family members who wish to stay in contact with us and what we’re up to. We will be updating it regularly with info on what is new in our lives as well as things we think might be of interest to others. Perhaps even a small photo gallery will find it’s way up. We look forward to hearing from everyone who stops by so be sure to sign our guestbook! (Once we get one.)
